Students can apply to professional programs after graduating from º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½. It is recommended students review the admissions requirements to different professional programs in order to plan their Augsburg coursework. The Undergraduate Research and Graduate Opportunities (URGO) office includes a Health Professions Specialist who works with students pursuing health science fields. Students interested in other pre-professional programs work with their faculty advisor.
Pre-Health Science – including medicine, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and many other options.
Pre-Law – students can major in any discipline; most law school requirements will be satisfied with a record of solid achievement couples with an acceptable Law School Admission Test (LSAT) score.
Pre-Engineering – students often major in physics or chemistry because these majors develop the quantitative skills required in industry. Augsburg’s pre-engineering students work closely with their faculty advisors in preparing to apply to engineering graduate schools.
Pre-Seminary – students enter a theological seminary with several different majors, such as history, philosophy, English, psychology, sociology, or religion. Recommended preparation includes RLN 100, 200; at least two semesters of history (Western civilization); one or more courses in the history of philosophy; and Greek in the junior and/or senior year. The Bernhard Christensen Center for Vocation provides resources and support, including scholarship opportunities, for students considering seminary.
