November 16-20 is International Education Week (IEW)!<\/span><\/h2>\n

What is IEW?<\/span><\/h3>\n

IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education that celebrates the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½, the Center for Global Education and Experience, International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) and the International Student Organization (ISO) will be celebrating the week with multiple activities and events!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Keep an eye out in the daily A-mail for events, as well as ISO\u2019s Instagram account: @iso_auggie and the study abroad office Instagram account: @global_auggies<\/span><\/p>\n

2020 Events and Activities<\/h3>\n

Dialogue & Food –\u00a0UPDATE: This event has been cancelled.\u00a0<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n

Date: Monday, November 16th<\/span><\/p>\n

Time: 4 – 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Location: Hagfors 151<\/span><\/p>\n

Description: ISO will have a brave space to talk about issues that are affecting International Students with a panel of current students and alumni.<\/span><\/p>\n

Boren Scholarship Information Session<\/strong><\/p>\n

Date: Tuesday, November 17th<\/p>\n

Time: 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Location: Virtual Event on Zoom (zoom link available for Boren Session)<\/p>\n

Description: Learn how to win a scholarship to study language abroad! A representative from the Boren Awards will present, as well as study abroad staff to help answer your questions. This event is co-sponsored by URGO.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Intern in China Webinar<\/strong><\/p>\n

Date: Tuesday, November 17th<\/p>\n

Description:\u00a0Learn about interning abroad in China after graduation! A representative from Augsburg’s exchange partner UIC in Zhuhai will present, as well as study abroad staff to help answer your questions. This event is co-sponsored by the Strommen Center.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Description: Poster day will share information about the countries international students come from as well as information about studying abroad in those countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tierra y Libertad!\u00a0 Commemorating The Mexican Revolution<\/strong><\/p>\n

Date:\u00a0Wednesday, November 18th<\/span><\/p>\n

Location: Virtual Event on Zoom (zoom link available for Mexican Revolution presentation)<\/p>\n

Description: Join CGEE globally faculty member and historian, Antonio Ortega, as he commemorates the 110th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution. This event is co-sponsored by ALAS.<\/span><\/p>\n

Description: Cultural Night is an event hosted by the International Student Organization (ISO) that showcases the cultural diversity at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½. Cultural Night performances range from musical performances to a fashion show that will showcase the beauty in the diversity of our different cultures.
